Alperen Sengun ranked 25th in ESPN’s Top 100 NBA players for 2025–26

With the new NBA season just around the corner, ESPN has unveiled its annual “Top 100 Players” list.

Among the rising stars, Türkiye’s Alperen Sengun earned a prestigious spot, reflecting his breakout year in both the NBA and international basketball.

Drafted in 2021 as the 16th pick of the first round, Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun is entering his fifth NBA season. At just 23 years old, he has been ranked 25th on ESPN’s list for 2025–26, marking a new milestone in his young career.

NBA breakthrough and records

Sengun has established himself as one of the most versatile big men in the league. His accolades include:

  • Youngest center to reach 1,000 points and 200 assists
  • Youngest center to record a triple-double
  • Youngest player to post 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists in a single game

In the 2024–25 season, Sengun was named an NBA All-Star, further cementing his status as a cornerstone of the Rockets’ rebuild.

EuroBasket 2025 Success

Internationally, Sengun played a key role for Türkiye at EuroBasket 2025. He helped the national team secure a silver medal, and his performances earned him a place in the All-Tournament Team (Best 5).
