Anadolu Efes guard Isaia Cordinier undergoes surgery, set to miss 4 months

Anadolu Efes has announced that French basketball player Isaia Cordinier underwent surgery in France, with the club saying the operation was successful and the player is expected to stay away from the court for about four months.

Cordinier plays for Anadolu Efes, one of Türkiye’s leading men’s basketball teams. The Istanbul-based club shared the update through its official X account.

Surgery in France

According to Anadolu Efes, Cordinier had the operation in his home country, France. The club said team doctor Ugur Dilicikik reported that the surgery had been completed successfully.

In its statement, Anadolu Efes said: “Our player Isaia Cordinier underwent surgery today in France. Our team doctor Ugur Dilicikik stated that the operation was successful and that our athlete will be away from the courts for approximately four months.”

The club did not provide further details about the nature of the surgery or the injury that led to the procedure.

However, the statement confirmed that Cordinier is expected to miss around four months of basketball activity as he recovers.
