Fenerbahce released Brazilian attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca, confirming that the contract termination was by mutual agreement, according to a statement from the Turkish Super Lig club on Thursday.
''Anderson Talisca, who joined our squad during the mid-season transfer window of the 2024-25 season, has had his contract terminated by mutual agreement,” the club said in a statement. “We wish Talisca every success in the next stage of his career.''
Turkish media reported that the 32-year-old is expected to join United Arab Emirates club Al-Jazira.
Talisca joined Fenerbahce from Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr in January 2025. He made seven appearances in all competitions for Fenerbahce this season, scoring five goals.
The Brazilian registered 27 goals and five assists in 45 appearances in all competitions last season.
Talisca began his career with Bahia in Brazil before joining Portugal’s Benfica in 2014.
He spent two seasons on loan at Besiktas from 2016 to 2018, helping the Istanbul club win the Turkish Super Lig title in the 2016-17 season.
Talisca later played for China’s Guangzhou Evergrande and Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia before returning to Türkiye with Fenerbahce.
He won two Portuguese league titles with Benfica, the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou, and the Arab Club Champions Cup with Al-Nassr.
