Ankara hosts 2025 Amputee Champions League as Alves Kablo thrashes Real Betis 9-0

The 2025 Amputee Football Champions League kicked off in Türkiye’s capital city, Ankara, on Friday. In the opening match, Alves Kablo delivered an impressive performance, defeating Spain’s Real Betis 9-0.

The tournament’s opening ceremony and first match took place at Eryaman Stadium. The Champions League features eight teams from eight different countries. In Group A, Alves Kablo took an early lead, finishing the first half 7-0 ahead. They continued their dominance in the second half, scoring two more goals to complete a 9-0 win and start the group stage strongly.

With three points from their opening match, Alves Kablo will face Germany’s Mainz Friday at 6:30 p.m. in their second group game.

Final Scheduled for June 1

The 2025 Amputee Football Champions League will take place over three days in Ankara, concluding with the final on June 1.

Teams competing include Alves Kablo (Türkiye), Real Betis (Spain), Everton (England), Wisla Krakow (Poland), Tiflis (Georgia), Sporting (Italy), Shamrock Rovers (Ireland), and Mainz (Germany).

Group stage matches are scheduled for today and tomorrow, with semifinals set for Saturday evening. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
