Türkiye's national football team held its first training session in Arizona as part of its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with more than 3,000 fans watching the session from the stands.
The training took place at Arizona Athletic Grounds under the supervision of head coach Vincenzo Montella, as Türkiye continued to build up for the tournament.
The session opened with warm-up runs before the players moved on to ball-winning and passing drills in three groups.
In the final part of training, the squad played a small-sided match in a limited area, before wrapping up the session with shooting practice.
Kenan Yildiz, whose treatment is still ongoing, trained separately from the rest of the team.
Türkiye will carry on with its World Cup preparations with another training session on Friday.
The open training session drew strong interest from supporters, with more than 3,000 people attending.
Alongside Turkish citizens living in the region, Mexican, Brazilian and Bosnian fans also followed the session from the stands. Foreign supporters gave particular attention to Arda Guler, with some watching the training while wearing Real Madrid shirts.
Before the session began, the stands chanted for the national team for an extended period. Montella and the players applauded the fans both before and after training.
