Arda Guler named among candidates for IFFHS 'Best Playmaker of 2025' award

Turkish star Arda Guler has been named among the nominees for the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) “Best Playmaker of 2025” award.

According to a statement on the IFFHS website, a total of 15 players have been shortlisted for the prestigious award. The winner will be selected by a jury consisting of sports journalists and football experts from 120 countries. The evaluation will be based on players’ performances across the calendar year (January–December) rather than a single football season.

In the 2025 LaLiga season, Arda Guler has made 10 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring three goals and providing four assists.
