Turkish basketball club Besiktas will take on Israel's Hapoel IBI in the fifth round of the EuroLeague on Wednesday, October 14, with both teams looking to build on identical records of two wins and two losses.
The game will be played at Arena 8888 in Sofia, Bulgaria, where Hapoel IBI will serve as the home team. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. local time.
Besiktas enters the matchup following a 92-84 victory over Spanish side Baskonia, a result that lifted the Istanbul-based club to seventh place in the EuroLeague standings.
Hapoel IBI, meanwhile, is looking to bounce back from a 93-82 defeat against another Spanish team, Valencia Basket, which left the Israeli club in 11th place.
Despite their different positions in the standings, both teams have picked up two victories and suffered two defeats across the opening four rounds of the competition.
Although Hapoel IBI is officially hosting the fifth-round encounter, the game will take place in the Bulgarian capital rather than Israel.
Besiktas will look to build on its latest victory, while Hapoel IBI will seek to return to winning ways after its defeat to Valencia Basket.
