Eczacibasi Dynavit women’s volleyball team has added Canadian national team middle blocker Emily Maglio to its squad for the 2025 season. The club announced that Maglio, who last played for Besiktas in the Vodafone Sultanlar League, will join the team as part of its ongoing transfer operations.
In the official statement, Eczacibasi Dynavit expressed their excitement about the transfer, noting that Maglio’s addition will bring both strength and experience to the team’s middle blocker rotation.
“As part of our new season restructuring, we have strengthened our middle blocker line-up by adding Emily Maglio to our squad. We believe her hardworking nature and effectiveness at the net will contribute greatly to achieving our goals next season,” the club stated..
Sharing her thoughts, Maglio said she is looking forward to the new season and joining one of the top volleyball clubs in Türkiye.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Eczacibasi Dynavit and to meet my new teammates. I’ve played against many of the players from this club, both in Türkiye and on the international stage—they are truly a talented group. I can’t wait to start working hard to turn the upcoming season into a great success,” said the Canadian star.
Standing at 1.91 meters, Maglio began her career at the University of Hawaii before playing for top clubs such as Bisonte Firenze, Nilufer Belediyespor, Turk Hava Yollari, and Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud. After completing her recent season with Besiktas, she will now wear the orange-and-white jersey of Eczacibasi Dynavit.
With a solid international background and consistent performances in both European and Turkish leagues, Maglio is expected to be a key figure for Eczacibasi’s ambitions in both domestic and continental competitions.
