Fenerbahce Beko clinches Türkiye Basketball Super League title, completes historic treble

Fenerbahce Beko secured the 2024–2025 Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League championship Wednesday after defeating Besiktas Fibabanka 84–68 in Game 5 of the playoff finals, winning the best-of-seven series 4–1.

The game at Ulker Sports and Event Hall began with a 13–0 run by Besiktas, but Fenerbahce responded swiftly, taking a 21–18 lead by the end of the first quarter. The yellow-navy side extended its advantage to 48–40 at halftime and maintained control throughout the second half, finishing the third quarter ahead 69–54 before closing the game with a 16-point margin.

12th domestic title for Fenerbahce

The victory marked Fenerbahce’s 12th Turkish League championship and its third title in the last four seasons. The club’s previous titles were in 1990–91, 2006–07, 2007–08, 2009–10, 2010–11, 2013–14, 2015–16, 2016–17, 2017–18, 2021–22, and 2023–24.

Fenerbahce concluded the season with three major trophies — the Turkish League, the Turkish Cup, and the EuroLeague. .

The club captured the EuroLeague title after defeating Monaco in the final.

They became the first team since Real Madrid in the 2014–15 season to win the EuroLeague, national league, and domestic cup in the same year.

Coach Jasikevicius celebrates 17th career title

Head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius celebrated the 17th title of his coaching career, spanning his time with Zalgiris, Barcelona, and Fenerbahce. His accomplishments include:

  • 1 EuroLeague
  • 2 Turkish League titles
  • 2 Turkish Cups
  • 2 Spanish League titles
  • 2 Spanish Cups
  • 5 Lithuanian League titles
  • 3 Lithuanian Cups

Season Stats: 84 Games, 67 Wins

Fenerbahce played 84 official games during the season:

  • 41 in the Turkish League
  • 39 in the EuroLeague
  • 3 in the Turkish Cup
  • 1 in the Presidential Cup

The team finished with 67 wins and 17 losses, recording a 79.7% win rate.

Meanwhile, Canadian center Khem Birch was named Finals MVP, averaging 11.2 points per game over the five-match series.

Farewells to Gherardini and Guduric

The championship celebration also marked emotional farewells to longtime executive Maurizio Gherardini and veteran guard Marko Guduric.

Club president Ali Koc and basketball director Sertac Komsuoglu presented commemorative jerseys to both.

Gherardini, who joined the club in 2014, said:
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you. My heart will always beat yellow and navy.”

Guduric, who played for Fenerbahce from 2017–19 and again from 2020–25, added:
“We made history. I’m proud of this unforgettable season. Thank you for everything. Fener forever.”

The Serbian guard received a standing ovation from fans and shared an emotional moment with his family on the court.
