Italian club Napoli and Turkish side Fenerbahce have reached an agreement for Romelu Lukaku to move to Türkiye, bringing the Belgian striker’s two-year spell with the Italian club to an end, according to the report.
Fenerbahce will pay Napoli €6 million ($6.9 million) for Lukaku’s transfer, while the agreement also includes €3 million in potential bonuses, Sky Sports reported. The striker has already completed his medical with the Turkish club, and the two sides are now exchanging documents to finalize the move.
The additional €3 million is divided between individual incentives and collective milestones, with €2 million tied to Lukaku’s personal performance and the remaining €1 million dependent on Fenerbahce winning the league title.
Lukaku joined Napoli from Chelsea in August 2024 for a fixed €30 million fee and quickly became an important part of Antonio Conte’s side. He helped Napoli win the 2024–25 Serie A title, finishing the campaign as the club’s leading scorer with 14 goals and 11 assists in 38 matches.
The following season was a different story, however, as injuries limited Lukaku to just seven appearances and one goal while keeping him out of 44 matches.
He later made an impact for Belgium at the 2026 World Cup, scoring three goals and providing an assist in six matches as the team reached the quarterfinals.
Lukaku’s transfer comes as Fenerbahce’s second major striker signing ahead of the new season, following the club’s move to bring veteran Kosovo international Vedat Muriqi back from Spanish side Mallorca for €15 million.
The club also made other high-profile signings, bringing in English winger Mason Greenwood from Marseille for €39 million and Dutch center-back Nathan Ake from Manchester City for €8.2 million.
For Napoli, Lukaku’s departure opens up another spot in attack, with the club showing interest in Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus as a potential replacement.
Jesus has reportedly given his approval to a move to Napoli, and the Italian club is expected to finalize the deal once Lukaku’s departure is completed.
