Fenerbahce Beko will head into a demanding road game in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague on tonight, as the Istanbul-based club prepares to face Barcelona in the competition’s 26th round. The matchup will be played at the Palau Blaugrana arena in Barcelona, with tip-off scheduled for 10:30 p.m. local time in Istanbul.
The yellow and navy side has been on a sustained run of form in recent weeks, having picked up eight wins from its last nine EuroLeague games. This stretch includes four straight victories, the most recent coming in a home win over Anadolu Efes by a 79–62 margin. That result allowed Fenerbahce Beko to stay at the top of the standings, despite having played one fewer game than several close rivals.
After 24 matches, the team has recorded 17 wins and seven losses, a record that places it in first position in the regular-season table. The EuroLeague, which features top clubs from across Europe, uses a round-robin format before moving into the playoff phase.
The team coached by Sarunas Jasikevicius will look to build on its earlier success against the Spanish side. In their first meeting this season, played in Istanbul, Fenerbahce Beko edged out Barcelona 72–71 in a closely contested game.
