Fenerbahce is at a crossroads with the Brazilian star they signed from Manchester United in 2023. The club is planning a major squad overhaul next season, and several players are expected to leave, with Fred reportedly among them.
According to a report by Takvim, NEOM SC, a team set to compete in the Saudi Pro League next year, is in talks with the Turkish club over signing Fred. Fenerbahce’s asking price for the midfielder is €15 million ($16.66 million). If this offer is met, it is claimed that the club will give approval for Fred’s sale.
It is reported that Fred has been allowed to discuss potential terms with the Saudi club. The 32-year-old, whose contract with Fenerbahce runs until the summer of 2027, is said to be open to a move if a deal can be reached that satisfies his salary expectations.
This season, Fred made 43 appearances for Fenerbahce, spending 3614 minutes on the pitch, contributing five goals and eight assists. He has also earned 32 caps for the Brazil national team.
