Fenerbahce midfielder Ismail Yuksek stood out in the opening week of the UEFA Champions League, finishing at the top of the competition's ball-recovery rankings after his side drew 1-1 with Roma at home.
Yuksek started the match and stayed on for the full 90 minutes, turning in a strong midfield performance as Fenerbahce picked up a point against the Italian side.
The Champions League's official account highlighted Yuksek's performance by placing him among the leading players of the opening round with 13 ball recoveries, referring to occasions when a player wins back possession for his team.
The UEFA graphic showed Yuksek level with Manchester City defender Marc Guehi on 13 recoveries.
His numbers against Roma also included nine duels won and six interceptions, underlining his involvement in breaking up the visitors' play and helping Fenerbahce regain possession.
Yuksek has featured in eight matches for Fenerbahce this season, playing a total of 293 minutes as he continues to build up his involvement in the campaign.
His display against Roma has now also earned recognition from the Champions League's official social media account following the first round of matches.
