Galatasaray draws 1-1 with Dutch team AZ Alkmaar in Europa League week 5

Galatasaray played to a 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar in the 5th week of the UEFA Europa League.

The match, held in Alkmaar, saw the hosts take an early lead in the 2nd minute through Sven Mijnans, while Galatasaray responded just before halftime with a goal from Victor Osimhen in the 43rd minute.

In the final moments of the match, AZ Alkmaar's Kees Smit was sent off in the 90+3rd minute with a second yellow card, leaving the hosts with 10 men.

With this result, Galatasaray extended its unbeaten run and increased its points total to 11, while AZ Alkmaar reached 7 points.

In the 6th week of the tournament, Galatasaray will travel to Malmö on December 12, while AZ Alkmaar will face Ludogorets on the same date.
