Fresh off securing its 26th Turkish Super Lig title, Galatasaray has reportedly stepped up preparations for the next season by turning its attention to Brazilian forward Kaua Elias, who currently plays under Arda Turan at Shakhtar.
According to reports in the Ukrainian media cited by Turkish broadcaster NTV Spor, the Istanbul club has begun tracking the 20-year-old striker as it looks to strengthen its attacking line ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Galatasaray, which recently wrapped up another league title, is understood to be planning a forward signing for the upcoming season. In that context, Elias has reportedly emerged as a potential target.
The Brazilian striker currently plays for the Ukrainian side, Shakhtar, managed by former Galatasaray and Türkiye national team star Arda Turan. Reports suggested the Ukrainian champions could part ways with the young attacker despite securing the title under Turan.
Ukrainian media reports also pointed to Shakhtar's valuation of the player, indicating the club is seeking €35 million ($39.5 million) for Elias.
The reports recalled that Brazilian side Flamengo had tabled a €22 million offer during the winter transfer window, although that bid was turned down.
Shakhtar had signed Elias from Brazilian club Fluminense during the mid-season transfer period of the 2024-25 campaign for €17 million. The striker still has three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract with the Ukrainian side.
Elias featured in 35 matches across all competitions this season, contributing 11 goals and seven assists while spending more than 2,100 minutes on the pitch.
The Brazilian forward's reported valuation and recent performances are said to have brought him onto Galatasaray's radar as the club maps out plans for the new season.
