Galatasaray has renewed its interest in Slovak defender Milan Skriniar, who last season played on loan at rival club Fenerbahce but remains contracted to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
According to Slovak outlet Sport24, Galatasaray contacted PSG to inquire about a transfer, with the French club reportedly asking for a 10 million euro transfer fee.
Galatasaray also engaged intermediaries to gauge Skriniar’s willingness to join the club again. The player’s reported annual salary demand of 12 million euros remains a major hurdle, especially as he has received offers from Saudi Arabia. Sources indicate Skriniar may need to significantly reduce his wage expectations to stay in Europe.
Fenerbahce has offered Skriniar a 5.5 million euro salary, but the defender has yet to respond positively.
The developments signal a potential new bidding war between the two Istanbul giants ahead of the upcoming season.
