Galatasaray has stepped up its preparations for the upcoming season by placing Hakan Calhanoglu at the top of its transfer list, as the club looks to strengthen its squad with a proven international midfielder.
The Istanbul-based club has been tracking the Turkish national team star since last year and is now working to wrap up the deal ahead of the new season.
According to a report by Calciomercato, Inter expects to bring in between €15 million and €20 million ($17 million to $20 million) from the transfer.
However, Galatasaray’s management has set a firm ceiling, indicating it will not go beyond €10 million (around $11.5 million) for the 32-year-old midfielder.
Calhanoglu’s recent performances underline why he remains a key target.
He has featured in 26 matches this season, contributing 9 goals and 4 assists, figures that highlight both his scoring ability and playmaking role from midfield.
