As hopes of signing Victor Osimhen begin to fade, Galatasaray has reportedly shifted focus to another Nigerian striker: Victor Boniface. According to Turkish media, Galatasaray has submitted an offer for Boniface, who is said to be open to the move.
Victor Osimhen, who had a standout season and has long been on Galatasaray’s radar, is now expected to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. In response, the Istanbul club has activated its Plan B: Osimhen’s close friend and national teammate, Victor Boniface.
Boniface, currently with Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen, had a strong start to the season but suffered a thigh injury in late November. After missing several matches, he has struggled to regain a consistent starting role.
Despite this, Galatasaray has reportedly made a formal offer, and Boniface is believed to be enthusiastic about the potential move to Türkiye.
Even with limited playing time, Boniface has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and providing 2 assists.
