Turkish national football team ended its 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign with a 3-2 victory over the United States in Los Angeles.
Arda Guler, Orkun Kokcu and Kaan Ayhan scored to give Türkiye a farewell win in Group D.
The win came in Türkiye's third Group D match, but it was not enough to extend the team's stay at the tournament.
Türkiye finished the group with 3 points and bowed out in last place.
The United States went ahead in the third minute through Trusty, giving Türkiye an early setback in a match handled by Algerian referee Mustapha Ghorbal and assistants Mokrane Gourari and Abbes Zerhouni.
Türkiye quickly found a way back into the match when Arda Guler scored in the 10th minute, bringing the score level and changing the rhythm of the first half.
Orkun Kokcu completed Türkiye's first-half turnaround in the 31st minute, putting the national team 2-1 up before the interval.
The United States drew level in the 49th minute after McKenzie's long throw from the left led to a loose ball outside the area, where Berhalter struck firmly into the corner for 2-2.
The United States then created two dangerous chances through Pulisic, but Ugurcan Cakir first blocked a close-range effort and later tipped another attempt onto the post to keep the match level.
Türkiye finally struck in the eighth minute of stoppage time when Can Uzun's effort deflected into the path of Kaan Ayhan, who finished from close range to seal a 3-2 farewell win.
