The United States drew level in the 49th minute after McKenzie's long throw from the left led to a loose ball outside the area, where Berhalter struck firmly into the corner for 2-2.
The United States then created two dangerous chances through Pulisic, but Ugurcan Cakir first blocked a close-range effort and later tipped another attempt onto the post to keep the match level.
Türkiye finally struck in the eighth minute of stoppage time when Can Uzun's effort deflected into the path of Kaan Ayhan, who finished from close range to seal a 3-2 farewell win.
