The event, held August 3-9 at the Burhan Felek Sports Complex, brought together 153 athletes—67 women and 86 men—from 22 countries.
It marked the first time Türkiye has hosted the European Championship in the adult modern pentathlon category.
In the mixed relay final on the tournament's closing day, 13 countries competed for the title. Hungary's pairing of Mihaly Koleszar and Balkan Guzi took gold.
Russia's Andrey Bobrov and Yana Soloveva claimed silver, while Great Britain's Ross Charlton and Emma Whitaker won bronze. Türkiye's duo of Sidal Aslan and Buğra Unal finished seventh.
In the men's individual final held earlier in the competition, Russia's Egor Gromadskii won gold. Hungary's Bertalan Tamas took silver, and Italy's Giorgio Malan claimed bronze. Turkish athletes Kıvanc Tasyaran and Bugra Unal finished eighth and 17th, respectively, marking their first career appearances in a European Championship final.
The modern pentathlon combines fencing, obstacle course, swimming, and laser run disciplines, contested across individual and team categories.
