Inter Miami is reportedly preparing a move for Vozinha Dias, the 40-year-old Cape Verde goalkeeper who drew attention with his performances at the 2026 World Cup and is now available as a free agent after leaving Portuguese second-tier side Chaves.
Vozinha, who played last season for Chaves in Portugal's second division, became one of the notable names of the tournament after standing out for Cape Verde, the West African island nation officially known as the Republic of Cabo Verde.
The experienced goalkeeper especially caught attention with his saves in the opening match against Spain, turning a player who was not widely known before the tournament into a prominent name in the transfer market.
According to MARCA, Inter Miami owner David Beckham is considering a one-year contract offer for Vozinha, taking into account both his tournament performances and the global marketing potential that quickly built up around him.
If the move goes through, Vozinha would join Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Casemiro at the Florida-based Major League Soccer club.
Vozinha's profile also climbed sharply off the pitch. After the matches, his Instagram following passed 28 million, moving him ahead of several better-known international goalkeepers.
That figure places him above Emiliano Martinez, Mike Maignan and Jordan Pickford, underlining how quickly his World Cup performances turned into wider global attention.
Inter Miami is not the only club following the free-agent goalkeeper. Several teams from South and North America are also said to be interested in signing him.
Brazilian clubs Atletico Goianiense, Ceara and Avai, Mexico's Cruz Azul, Argentina's Deportivo Riestra and Paraguay's Olimpia have also been linked with moves for Vozinha as interest in the Cape Verde goalkeeper continues to grow.
