Although Immobile has not made a significant impact in the Turkish Super Lig since joining Besiktas at the start of the season, his name continues to surface in Italy’s transfer discussions.
According to Calcio Mercato, Inter has shifted its focus to Immobile as they continue their search for a striker.
The report mentions that Mehdi Taremi, who joined Inter this season, has scored just 3 goals in 34 appearances, falling short of expectations.
As a result, Immobile, known for his experience and readiness, is emerging as a viable option for Inter.
Immobile recently spoke to the Italian media, saying, "Mentally, I still feel good, and my desire for football is strong.
Returning to a league where I’ve broken records and shone would be wonderful. I have no intention of retiring after my time in Türkiye. On the contrary, I’m working toward a grand finale."
These remarks have only fueled speculation about a potential move back to Italy.
So far this season, Ciro Immobile has played 33 matches for Besiktas, scoring 15 goals and providing 3 assists.
While his performance in the Super Lig has not reached the expected level, he has still made valuable contributions, showing that his quality remains intact.
