Iran’s national football team visited visa offices in Ankara as part of its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The team first arrived at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara to apply for visas needed for the tournament. Players completed their procedures at the embassy before leaving the premises.
Following the U.S. visa step, the Iranian national football team also went to a visa application center to apply for Canadian visas.
The visit formed part of the team’s administrative preparations ahead of the World Cup, where matches will be staged across three North American host countries.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico, making visa procedures an important part of travel planning for participating teams.
Iran, which will compete in the tournament, carried out both U.S. and Canadian visa application steps in Ankara.
