Fenerbahce’s search for a new head coach has gained pace after parting ways with Jose Mourinho. According to Italian outlet Sportmediaset, two prominent names have emerged as potential successors: Luciano Spalletti and Sergio Conceicao.
Italian media suggested that Luciano Spalletti, most recently in charge of Italy’s national team, is among the candidates.
Spalletti, a veteran coach, won the Italian Serie A title with Napoli in the 2022/23 season, an achievement that drew international attention.
The same report pointed out that Portuguese manager Sergio Conceicao is also being considered. Conceicao has built his reputation at FC Porto, where he secured multiple domestic trophies, including league titles, national cups and super cups.
His consistent success has led to his recognition as one of the most accomplished Portuguese coaches of recent years.
The Fenerbahce board is determined to appoint a strong leader capable of guiding the club both in the Turkish Super Lig and on the European stage.
Officials are continuing intensive negotiations to decide who will take charge of the Istanbul-based side in the new era.
