Despite the loss, Türkiye’s record now stands at 8 wins and 3 defeats, while Italy remains undefeated with 11 consecutive victories.
Star spiker Melissa Vargas and middle blocker Zehra Gunes led Türkiye’s scoring, while Italy's dynamic duo Paola Egonu and Anna Danesi proved decisive in key moments.
Türkiye will next face Serbia on July 13 at 9:00 p.m. local time, with the match broadcast live on TRT Spor.
