Kenan Yildiz scored and delivered a notable individual performance as Juventus recorded a 3–0 home victory over Napoli in a Serie A match played at Juventus Stadium in Turin.
Juventus took the lead in the 22nd minute through Jonathan David, before Yildiz doubled the advantage in the 77th minute with a composed finish inside the penalty area. The Turkish international was substituted in the 87th minute, making way for Federico Gatti, shortly before Filip Kostic added a third goal in the 86th minute to seal the result.
With his goal, Yildiz reached an important milestone, becoming only the fifth Juventus player in the three-points-for-a-win era to score against Napoli in both league fixtures during the same season. He joined a select group consisting of Cristiano Ronaldo (2019–20), Alessandro Del Piero (2000–01), Darko Kovacevic (2000–01) and Fabrizio Ravanelli (1994–95).
Speaking to DAZN after the match, Yildiz commented on the team’s overall performance.
“We played really well and had fun. Today we were great,” Yildiz said. “We enjoyed ourselves on the pitch and with our fans, and we hope to continue like this.”
Following the result, Juventus moved to 42 points in the Serie A standings, while Napoli remained on 43 points. The outcome further tightened the competition at the top of the league table.
