Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and Spanish influencer Ines Garcia have jetted off to Saint-Tropez for a luxury summer break, days after celebrating Spain's World Cup win together and pushing their relationship further into the spotlight.

Garcia revealed the French Riviera location through posts on Instagram, while Yamal shared a photograph of his partner as the couple began what was described as their first holiday together.

The trip follows weeks of intense attention surrounding their relationship, including viral claims that Garcia had left a longtime boyfriend to date the Spain international, allegations she previously dismissed as unfounded.

World Cup celebrations give way to French Riviera escape

Yamal first spent time with friends in Ibiza following Spain's successful World Cup campaign before returning to Madrid and meeting up with Garcia.

The pair then headed to Saint-Tropez, a Mediterranean resort town in southern France known for its beaches, nightlife and popularity among celebrities, athletes and wealthy international visitors.

Garcia appeared to confirm their arrival by posting an Instagram Story showing her feet beside a display of roses. Yamal later uploaded a separate image of Garcia from the getaway.

Their trip comes shortly after Garcia joined the footballer on the pitch at MetLife Stadium following Spain's World Cup final victory over Argentina.

Garcia had travelled to the United States despite previously speaking about her fear of flying, regularly sharing photographs from the tournament while wearing Yamal's shirt and jewellery linked to the Barcelona winger.

Couple reportedly built relationship away from public view

Reports linking Yamal and Garcia first began circulating in early 2026 after followers picked up on their social media interactions and public appearances.

The pair were reportedly seen together at a dinner in Sitges, during a helicopter ride in Barcelona and while holidaying in Greece.

According to Garcia, they first got in touch through direct messages on social media and continued speaking online before meeting in person.

They had reportedly been dating privately for several months before appearing together publicly at Barcelona's end-of-season dinner in May, where they arrived holding hands.

Garcia, a content creator from Seville, has since become one of Yamal's most visible supporters during his appearances for Barcelona and Spain.

Garcia previously pushed back against viral breakup claims

The Saint-Tropez holiday comes after Garcia spoke out against online claims that she had ended a five-year relationship with a man named Gonzalo Torres to pursue Yamal.

Social media users had pointed to old photographs, affectionate comments and earlier online interactions as evidence that Torres was her former boyfriend.

Garcia rejected that account, saying Gonzalo was a friend and that the timeline circulating online did not make sense.

“I didn’t want to respond to this. At what point on Twitter or anywhere else was I in a relationship with my friend Gonzalo for five years? And that I’ve left him to be with someone else? It doesn’t make any sense. It doesn’t have any consistency. We can all talk for the sake of talking but this is just silly. That’s all I will say. It doesn’t make any sense. If you’re going to paint any picture, then make it more consistent,” she said.

Yamal later left supportive comments on Garcia's social media posts as she faced criticism and harassment over the claims.

Their latest appearance in Saint-Tropez signals that the pair remain together as they settle into a summer break following Spain's World Cup success.
