Lazio maintained their unbeaten start to the Italian Serie A season with a commanding 3-0 away victory over Juventus on Sunday, moving level on points with league leaders Inter Milan after seven matches.
Oliver Provstgaard, Gustav Isaksen and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru secured the win for Gennaro Gattuso's side, lifting Lazio to 19 points, while Juventus remained eighth with 11 points.
Juventus appeared to have taken the lead in the 24th minute when Randal Kolo Muani finished from close range, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
Lazio capitalized on the setback in the 37th minute as Provstgaard headed home a cross from captain Mattia Zaccagni following a corner kick.
The visitors nearly doubled their advantage before halftime when Nuno Tavares curled a shot against the crossbar, leaving Juventus goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario beaten.
With head coach Luciano Spalletti serving a touchline suspension, Juventus brought on German striker Nick Woltemade at halftime in an effort to strengthen their attack.
Woltemade nearly equalized in the 55th minute after receiving a pass from Kolo Muani, but his right-footed effort drifted narrowly wide.
Despite growing pressure from Juventus, Lazio extended their lead in the 66th minute when Isaksen cut inside from the left wing and curled a left-footed shot into the far bottom corner.
Juventus continued searching for a way back into the match, but Kolo Muani missed another opportunity in the 82nd minute, heading over the crossbar from close range following Woltemade's delivery.
Substitute Dele-Bashiru wrapped up the victory in the 89th minute, breaking into the penalty area before driving a low shot across goal to complete Lazio's three-goal win.
The result kept Lazio unbeaten after seven Serie A matches and brought them level with Inter at the top of Italy's first division, while Juventus remained in eighth place.
