Mauro Icardi's agent, Elio Pino, said negotiations with Galatasaray are continuing and expressed optimism that an agreement could be wrapped up soon.
The Argentine striker's contract with the Istanbul club has expired, leaving his future uncertain as both sides work through discussions over a possible new deal.
Speaking to journalist Ozgur Sancar, Pino said talks were still being held with Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek and stressed that Icardi was not in contact with any other club.
"Our negotiations with President Dursun Ozbek are continuing. This time, I am very optimistic. We are not talking to any team other than Galatasaray. I do not think it will take long; we will get a result soon," Pino said.
His comments indicate that Galatasaray remains the only club currently involved in negotiations over the forward's future.
Icardi has made 134 appearances for Galatasaray, scoring 77 goals and setting up another 25 during his time with the Turkish club.
