Olimpia Milano, the third highest-spending team in the EuroLeague, has made a move to sign Fenerbahce Beko’s standout player Marko Guduric. The Serbian guard has been offered a three-year contract worth a total of 8,1 million euros ($9,2 million).
After winning the EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahce Beko, Marko Guduric has attracted unexpected interest. According to Sporx, Olimpia Milano—who finished the season disappointingly—has entered the race for the 30-year-old Serbian star.
The Italian club reportedly offered Guduric an annual salary of 2,7 million euros ($3,06 million) over three years. Following this lucrative offer, Guduric has requested time to consider the proposal and is expected to decide soon.
Marko Guduric joined Fenerbahce in 2017 from Kizilyildiz and, apart from a brief stint with the Memphis Grizzlies, has been a key figure in the yellow-navy blue squad for years. Known for his crucial contributions on the road to EuroLeague glory, his potential departure has become a hot topic among fans and analysts.
Despite a sizeable budget of 39 million euros ($44,25 million), Olimpia Milano finished 11th in the EuroLeague this season and is eager to strengthen its roster for the upcoming campaign.
