Behind-the-scenes developments in the much-anticipated transfer of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen have begun to surface, as top clubs vie for his signature.
Saudi Pro League powerhouse Al-Hilal has reportedly offered Osimhen a record-breaking salary. However, sources close to the player indicate he remains open to joining Galatasaray, despite the significant financial gap between the Turkish club’s offer and that of Al-Hilal.
According to those familiar with the discussions, Osimhen told Galatasaray officials, “If I receive twice your offer from Al-Hilal, I will go there. Otherwise, Galatasaray will be my choice.”
Al-Hilal is believed to have increased its bid to an astonishing €40 million per year following two previous rejections—reportedly in response to this condition.
While Italian and Arab media have reported that Osimhen is now almost certain to join Al-Hilal, Galatasaray officials remain hopeful but realistic.
“We have made significant sacrifices for Osimhen,” a club source said. “But the Saudis aren’t concerned with money. We have a limit, and we’ve done everything within our means.”
The transfer saga continues as both clubs await Osimhen’s final decision.
