Istanbul club Galatasaray's world-star Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has emerged as a leading transfer target for several European clubs following Galatasaray’s 5-2 victory over Juventus in the UEFA Champions League playoff round, as attention shifts to the Nigerian forward’s future, reports suggest.
Yellow-Red club secured the high-scoring win against the Italian side to strengthen its position ahead of the second leg scheduled for Feb. 25 in Turin. The result placed the Turkish club in a favorable position to advance, while also increasing visibility for its key players.
Osimhen, who joined Galatasaray for €75 million ($88.17 million) at the start of the season, is now being monitored by Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, according to Spanish sports outlet Fichajes.
Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly stepped up its interest as part of its ongoing squad rebuild, the report said.
Coach Luis Enrique is said to view the Nigerian striker as a suitable option to lead the club’s attack, with the French side capable of presenting both a competitive transfer fee and a high-value contract.
PSG’s financial resources and regular participation in domestic and European competitions could strengthen its position if negotiations develop further.
Atletico Madrid has also identified Osimhen as a potential addition to strengthen its offensive line, though competing with PSG’s financial power and Bayern Munich’s established structure could complicate its efforts.
The Spanish club is expected to weigh whether to pursue a costly deal or consider alternative targets depending on market conditions.
Bayern Munich is similarly assessing Osimhen as a candidate to fill its central striker role, as the German side seeks a forward capable of leading its attack in domestic and European competitions.
Although the summer transfer period has not yet opened, competition among Europe’s top clubs for Osimhen is already forming, the report noted.
His next move is expected to depend on which club presents the most convincing sporting plan alongside financial terms.
The Nigerian forward’s recent performances and international reputation have positioned him among the most closely watched players ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
