The Houston Rockets comfortably beat the Atlanta Hawks 117-95 at home, with Türkiye's Alperen Sengun putting in a standout performance that helped his team pull away and end the visitors’ long winning streak.

Sengun steps up and drives Rockets forward

Alperen Sengun played a central role in the win, putting up 15 points along with 10 assists and 9 rebounds. In basketball, a “double-double” refers to reaching double digits in two statistical categories, and Sengun achieved this through scoring and playmaking, while also coming close to a triple-double.

His all-around display helped the Rockets secure their 42nd victory of the season, as the team managed to control the game from start to finish at the Toyota Center.

Balanced scoring helps end Hawks’ streak

Houston’s success was not limited to a single player, as multiple contributors stepped up to support the win. Kevin Durant led the scoring with 25 points, while Jabari Smith added 23.

Reed Sheppard and Amen Thompson each chipped in 14 points, helping the Rockets spread the offense and keep the pressure on.

Hawks struggle despite solid individual efforts

On the Hawks side, Nickeil Alexander-Walker led the scoring with 21 points, while CJ McCollum and Zaccharie Risacher contributed 17 and 16 points, respectively. Despite these efforts, the team fell to its 32nd loss of the season, as they struggled to respond to Houston’s balanced attack.

Yurtseven features as Warriors fall to Pistons

In another game, Türkiye's Omer Faruk Yurtseven took to the court for the Golden State Warriors, who were beaten 115-101 by the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena.

Yurtseven finished with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, contributing across multiple areas but unable to prevent the loss. Brandin Podziemski led the Warriors with 15 points, while De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton added 14 each.

Detroit secured the win behind strong performances from Jalen Duren, who scored 23 points, and Daniss Jenkins, with 22. Paul Reed added 15 points, helping the team seal a key result.
