Galatasaray have reportedly stepped up their transfer activity with a two-player approach to Arsenal, offering €40 million for Martinelli while proposing €5 million to take 19-year-old Ethan Nwaneri on loan.
The Istanbul club, which has made only one addition to its squad during the current transfer period, has moved for the Arsenal pair as President Dursun Ozbek pushes to wrap up further signings before Galatasaray's match against Erzurumspor on Aug. 21.
Alongside their reported €40 million offer for Martinelli, Galatasaray are looking to bring in Nwaneri, the 19-year-old English player who plays in the No. 10 position, on loan.
The Turkish club has reportedly put forward €5 million for a temporary transfer and also wants the agreement to include a clause making a future purchase mandatory if specified appearance conditions are met.
Galatasaray has accelerated their transfer work after Ozbek instructed the club to complete its planned signings before the Erzurumspor fixture on Aug. 21, according to the report.
The move for Martinelli and Nwaneri would therefore form part of Galatasaray's efforts to add further reinforcements before that target date.
