Saudi giant Al Hilal has reportedly submitted a staggering €160 million package to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, in a move that could reshape the summer transfer window.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Al Hilal has offered Osimhen a three-year contract worth €40 million per season—net—with an option for a fourth year. Should the deal go through, Osimhen would instantly become one of the highest-paid footballers in the world.
The Saudi club is also said to be willing to pay the €75 million release clause in Osimhen’s current contract with Napoli, signaling their readiness to close the deal with a full transfer.
This comes as Galatasaray, one of Türkiye’s leading clubs, continue to monitor Osimhen’s situation closely. The Istanbul side reportedly view the 25-year-old striker as either a partner or potential successor to Mauro Icardi. However, Galatasaray’s position has weakened amid the eye-watering offers emerging from Saudi Arabia.
Sources close to the player indicate that Osimhen, who is seeking a fresh start following tensions with Napoli and recent coaching changes, is now more open to non-European destinations than previously expected.
Osimhen enjoyed a standout 2024/25 season, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 appearances. Galatasaray have already submitted a formal offer but are now in a holding pattern as they await the player’s decision.
Commentators in European media suggest that unless a top-tier Champions League club makes a late move, Osimhen’s next destination could realistically be narrowed down to either Galatasaray or Saudi Arabia.
