Besiktas have reached an agreement with Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic, with the 26-year-old set to arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday to complete the move, according to Turkish and Italian media reports.

The Istanbul club had been working for some time to add Vlahovic to its squad, and A Spor reported that the two sides have now agreed on all terms. Vlahovic is expected to land in Istanbul around midday on August 12, according to Anadolu Ajansi. He is set to undergo medical checks before putting pen to paper on an official contract, the report said.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio also reported that Vlahovic has agreed to join Besiktas. The striker will arrive on a free transfer after his contract with Juventus expires, with no transfer fee involved.

A move from Fiorentina to Turin that didn't fully deliver

A native of Belgrade, Vlahovic spent the past five seasons at Juventus after arriving from Fiorentina in a deal worth upwards of €80 million. He leaves Turin with 68 goals in 168 appearances across all competitions, and his sole piece of silverware with the Bianconeri was the 2024 Coppa Italia. His final season at the club marked his lowest output over a full campaign, with seven goals in 19 Serie A appearances.

Vlahovic came through the youth academy at Partizan Belgrade and made his senior debut for the club in 2016. Three seasons later, he moved to Fiorentina, where his form peaked in 2022, when he finished as runner-up for Serie A's top scorer award after netting 24 goals.

On the international stage, Vlahovic has earned 41 caps for Serbia since his debut in 2020, scoring 16 goals, and has represented his country at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024.

His arrival marks the second major addition to Besiktas's attack this offseason. The club signed Belgium forward Leandro Trossard from Arsenal last month, giving the Turkish side two significant new options up front ahead of the new season.
