Trabzonspor have reportedly opened talks with Italian coach Stefano Pioli, with the former AC Milan manager asking for a 2+1-year contract as his first condition for taking over the Turkish club.

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, negotiations between Pioli and Trabzonspor are continuing, while the Black Sea club also has two other candidates on its managerial shortlist.

Trabzonspor are looking to quickly appoint a new head coach after parting ways with Fatih Tekke. Huseyin Cimsir has temporarily taken charge of the team, but the club is aiming to settle on a permanent replacement following its defeat to Konyaspor.
