Swiss national team renews contract of Turkish-origin coach Yakin

The contract of Turkish-Swiss head coach Murat Yakin, who leads the Switzerland national team, has been renewed following their bitter defeat to England in the European Championship.
Despite the heartbreaking loss on penalties, Yakin remained composed and emphasized his dedication to the national team.
According to reports from Swiss media, Yakin has extended his contract with the Swiss Football Federation.
The duration of the new contract has not been disclosed yet, with details to be announced in a press conference scheduled for Monday.
Yakin has been serving as Switzerland’s head coach since August 2021.
