Trabzonspor will take on Finnish side KuPS Kuopio on Thursday, Oct. 15, in their opening match of the UEFA Conference League league phase, with kickoff scheduled for 7:45 p.m. Türkiye time (4:45 p.m. GMT).
The match will be broadcast live on Turkish television channel TRT 1.
The Turkish club head into the European fixture following a 3-0 away victory over Samsunspor, while KuPS have suffered consecutive 1-0 defeats without finding the net.
Trabzonspor have recorded four wins, one draw and five defeats in their last 10 competitive matches, scoring 16 goals during that period.
Their victories include a 5-0 win over Genclerbirligi, a 4-0 triumph against Galatasaray and a 2-1 result against Basaksehir, alongside their recent success over Samsunspor.
KuPS, meanwhile, have managed three wins, three draws and four defeats across their previous 10 fixtures. Although the Finnish club picked up victories against Shamrock, VPS, and Lahti, they subsequently lost to Oulu at home and Inter Turku away.
Historically, Turkish clubs have held the advantage in encounters with Finnish opponents, winning 14 of their 24 meetings, compared with three Finnish victories and seven draws.
In the 13 matches played in Finland, Turkish teams have secured six victories, while Finnish clubs have won twice and five encounters have ended level.
Trabzonspor will be without several players for their trip to Finland, with Nwaiwu and Lopes excluded from the traveling squad because of red-card suspensions.
Onuralp, Okay, Malinovskyi, Umut Nayir, Savic and Mustafa have also been left out as they continue receiving treatment for injuries.
Batagov, whose treatment has been completed, will not feature either, as he has yet to regain match fitness.
Despite the absences, Trabzonspor will look to carry their domestic momentum into the Conference League and open their European campaign with three points.
