Turkish rally crew Ali Turkkan and Oytun Albayrak secured first place at the Portugal Rally, the third round of the FIA Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC), according to a statement from the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED).

Held in the Porto region, the event marked the third stage of the FIA Junior World Rally Championship, a category designed for young drivers competing under the broader World Rally Championship (WRC) structure.

Representing Castrol Ford Team Türkiye, the Turkkan-Albayrak duo finished at the top of the podium in the JWRC category, helping the team move up to the championship lead following the result.

Strong finish lifts Turkish team in championship standings

Alongside their JWRC victory, the Turkish crew also wrapped up the Portugal Rally in second place in the WRC3 classification, another category within the World Rally Championship framework.

TOSFED said the result pushed Castrol Ford Team Türkiye into the lead of the championship standings after the third round of the season.
