Turkish national swimmers delivered strong performances at two separate youth swimming championships, claiming a total of 11 medals, 6 gold, 3 silver, and 2 bronze, in Prague and Graz.
According to the Turkish Swimming Federation, Emre Onuş claimed gold in the men's 200-meter individual medley at the Multinations Youth Swimming Championship in the Czech capital Prague, finishing with a time of 2:00.55.
The men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay team of Demir Ozdemir, Emre Onus, Arel Gultekin, and Ahmet Mete Boylu also took gold, clocking 3:20.65 to set a new Turkish record in the under-18 category.
Selinnur Sade won silver in the women's 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:16.43, while Gokce Unur added another silver in the women's 200-meter individual medley, finishing in 2:18.60.
At the Multinations Youth Swimming Championship in Graz, Austria, Turkish swimmers claimed 4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
Alara Gokalp took gold in the women's 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:23.59, and Umut Aras Ozkan claimed gold in the men's 100-meter butterfly, finishing in 56.56.
Emir Bartu Ozcan won gold in the men's 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 29.34.
The men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay team of Kaan Akca, Emir Bartu Ozcan, Sarper Taze, and Sarp Canli claimed gold with a time of 3:33.19, setting a new Turkish record in the under-15 category.
Toprak Topatan earned silver in the men's 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:06.26.
Yaren Soysal took bronze in the women's 50-meter breaststroke, finishing in 33.06.
The women's 4x100-meter freestyle relay team of Beril Cagri, Damla Maviler, Ayse Nazli Sonmez, and Yaren Soysal rounded out Türkiye's medal haul with bronze, clocking 3:55.83.
Türkiye's total medal count across both competitions has now risen to 42.
