Real Madrid, the Champions League winner after defeating Dortmund in the final, and Atalanta, who won the UEFA Europa League by beating Bayer Leverkusen, will face off to claim the Super Cup title.
After an impressive performance at Euro 2024, Arda Guler took a short vacation before joining Real Madrid’s training camp in the United States.
The 19-year-old player’s market value, initially €30 million, has risen to €45 million following the tournament.
Guler started in the lineup for friendly matches against Milan and Barcelona but did not play in the recent game against Chelsea.
As the UEFA Super Cup match against Atalanta approaches, not only Turkish football fans but also Spaniards are eager to see Arda Guler in action.
The young star’s development in Madrid is being closely watched.
According to the Spanish publication Defensa Central, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti had a private meeting with Arda Guler ahead of the UEFA Super Cup match. The report states:
Carlo Ancelotti already has plans for the match and is communicating them to his players. One of the players whose role has changed is Arda Guler. The Turkish player's excellent form since last April, his brilliant performance at the European Championship in Germany, and his impressive preseason camp in the United States have led Ancelotti to consider using him against Gasperini's team.

Reportedly, Ancelotti told Guler: "I want you to be ready; you'll be important, and unless something strange happens, you'll get significant playing time against Atalanta."
Real Madrid is expected to field an attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Guler in the final against Atalanta.
However, there is also speculation that Madrid may start with Rodrygo and bring Guler on in the second half.
