Türkiye has once again asserted its dominance in European taekwondo, securing the overall team title at the European Taekwondo and Para Taekwondo Championships held in Munich. With this result, Türkiye became the European champion for the third consecutive edition of the competition following titles in 2022, 2024, and 2026.
The national team concluded the championship with a total of 22 medals, including six gold, four silver, and 12 bronze, demonstrating consistent success across both taekwondo and para taekwondo events.
On the concluding day of the competition, Turkish athletes added five medals, comprising one gold and four bronze.
Elif Sude Akgul claimed the gold medal in the women’s 49 kg category, becoming the European champion. In the +73 kg division, Nafia Kus Aydin secured a bronze medal.
In para taekwondo events, Adem Arda Ozkul, Osman Erturk, and Fatma Nur Yoldas each earned bronze medals in their respective weight categories.
Türkiye finished the taekwondo segment of the championships with three gold, two silver, and three bronze medals, topping the overall standings. In para taekwondo, the national team also delivered a strong performance, adding further medals to its overall tally.
