Türkiye's national cyclists picked up a total of 17 medals across two international events, with track riders standing out at the Grand Prix Presov in Slovakia and road cyclists adding further podium finishes at the 2026 Road Balkan Championships in Kosovo.
The results came in two separate competitions: the UCI Class 1 Grand Prix Presov, part of the international cycling calendar, and the Road Balkan Championships, organized under the Balkan Cycling Union calendar. UCI refers to the Union Cycliste Internationale, the global governing body for cycling.
Türkiye's National Track Cycling Team, made up of TOHM athletes, delivered the strongest medal haul of the campaign in Slovakia.
Ramazan Yilmaz won four gold medals and one silver across the Omnium, Scratch and Elimination races. Mustafa Tarakci also put in a strong performance, taking two gold, three silver and one bronze medals.
The two national athletes also teamed up in the Madison race, where they won gold together. With these results, Türkiye closed out the Grand Prix Presov with six gold, four silver and one bronze medal, reaching 11 medals in total.
Türkiye also secured key results at the 2026 Road Balkan Championships in Pristina, Kosovo, where national athletes competed in time trial and road race categories.
In the elite men's time trial, Burak Abay won gold, while Ahmet Orken took silver. In the U19 men's category, Ege Erulku added another silver medal for Türkiye.
Further success came in road races, where Vedat Emre Soker won silver in the U17 men's category. Duygu Eser also finished second in the U19 women's race, earning another silver medal.
The elite men's road race was held over a challenging 155-kilometer route. The start was given by Turkish Cycling Federation President, Balkan Cycling Union President and UCI Management Committee member Emin Muftuoglu, alongside Kosovo Olympic Committee President Ismet Krasniqi, Kosovo Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry representative Blerim Gashani and Kosovo Cycling Federation President Avni Nuha.
Ahmet Orken crossed the finish line in third place, winning bronze for Türkiye.
With these results, Türkiye finished the Road Balkan Championships with one gold, four silver and one bronze medal, making six medals in total.
Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Muftuoglu said the medals won in Slovakia and Kosovo showed that Turkish cycling was continuing to move up internationally.
Muftuoglu said the results across different disciplines and age categories reflected systematic work and long-term planning. He said the medals won in track and road cycling showed that the structure from youth development to the national team was functioning properly.
