Türkiye's national women's basketball team will take on Japan tonight in its third game of the FIBA 2026 Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament, with Group C action continuing in Istanbul before the hosts meet Australia the following day.
The qualifying tournament is being held in Istanbul from March 11 to 17, 2026, and all of Türkiye's group-stage games are being played at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center. Türkiye heads into the Japan game with one win and one loss from its first two outings, while Japan has dropped both of its opening matches.
Saturday's matchup between Japan and Türkiye is set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. local time. Earlier in the day, Australia will face Hungary at 2:30 p.m., followed by Argentina against Canada at 5:30 p.m.
Türkiye will then return to the court on Sunday, March 15, to face Australia at 8:30 p.m. at the same venue.
Australia goes into that game after winning both of its first two matches, making it the only unbeaten side mentioned in the group so far.
Before Türkiye and Australia meet, Hungary will play Argentina at 2:30 p.m., and Canada will take on Japan at 5:30 p.m.
The last listed round of Group C games will be played on Tuesday, March 17. Japan will face Argentina at 2:30 p.m., Australia will meet Canada at 5:30 p.m., and Türkiye will close out this stage against Hungary at 8:30 p.m.
