Türkiye's national football team held its first training session in San Jose, California, as it moved on with preparations for its second 2026 FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Paraguay.
The match will kick off on Friday, June 19, at 11 p.m. EDT in the United States (3:00 a.m. GMT), corresponding to around 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, in Türkiye.
The training session took place at San Jose Park under head coach Vincenzo Montella. Media presence was allowed during the opening 15 minutes.
The session started with running drills before moving on to station-based exercises, a training format in which players rotate through different practice areas. After the media session ended, the closed part of the practice focused on tactical work for the Paraguay match.
Turkish Football Federation President Ibrahim Haciosmanoglu also watched the training session as the team carried on with its World Cup preparations in California.
Türkiye will hold its final training session before facing Paraguay at San Jose Park.
