Türkiye sweeps Italy in final VNL warm-up before Canada leg

Türkiye's Men's National Volleyball Team beat Italy 3-0 in a friendly match as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League, known as the VNL.

Türkiye won the opening set 26-24, before keeping up their momentum to take the second set 25-23. The team then wrapped up the match by winning the third set 25-21.

The result gave Türkiye a clear win over Italy in one of their final preparation matches before the start of the VNL campaign.

National team finish Italy camp with winning record

With the victory, Türkiye completed their friendly matches in Italy with two wins and one defeat.

The preparation series served as part of the team's build-up for the first stage of the 2026 VNL, an annual international volleyball competition organized by the sport's global governing body, the FIVB.

Canada stage brings major VNL tests

Türkiye will next play in the opening leg of the VNL, which will be held in Canada from June 10 to 14.

During that stage, the national team will face the United States, France, Italy and Canada.
