Türkiye, winning 14 medals at the Balkan Indoor Athletics Championship held in Serbia, topped the overall standings.
According to the statement from the Turkish Athletics Federation, the national team participated in the championship in the capital Belgrade with 38 athletes. The national athletes, who won 4 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals at the event, finished first as a team ahead of Bulgaria and Croatia.
Federation president Ahmet Karadag, whose views were included in the statement, said: "The Balkan championship we achieved as a team by winning 14 medals in Belgrade has once again proven that Turkish athletics is on the right track."
"I congratulate all our athletes and technical staff who contributed to this important achievement, and I hope that our successes will continue to grow," he added.
