Türkiye claimed two individual gold medals and a team bronze at the 2026 Outdoor European Archery Championships, held at the Antalya 100th Year Archery Facilities, with 307 athletes from 41 countries competing across compound and recurve categories.

Compound women's and men's individual gold

Hazal Burun won gold in the compound women's individual final, defeating Denmark's Tanja Gellenthien by a single point, 147-146, in one of the championship's closest contests. Emircan Haney secured the compound men's individual title, beating Poland's Przemyslaw Konecki to give Türkiye its second gold of the day.

Medals were presented by Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Hamza Yerlikaya and Turkish Archery Federation President Abdullah Topaloglu.

In the compound women's team event, the Netherlands took gold. The Dutch squad of Sanne De Laat, Fenna Stallen and Jessie Van Den Munckhof edged out Italy for the top spot.

Italy's Giulia Di Nardo, Nicola Andrea Moccia and Elisa Roner finished with silver, while Estonia's Lisell Jaatma, Marita Meeri Paas and Maris Tetsmann earned bronze.

Recurve women and man

The recurve women's national team—Elif Berra Gokkir, Dunya Yenihayat and Gizem Ozkan—placed fourth after falling to Italy in the semifinal. The team did not compete in the bronze medal match.

The recurve men's national team of Mete Gazoz, Berkay Akkoyun, and Ulas Berkim Tumer was defeated by France in the bronze medal match, finishing outside the podium in the recurve team category.

Germany dominates recurve team events

Germany swept both recurve team titles on the final day of competition.

The German women's team defeated Belarus to claim gold in the recurve women's category, while the men's team secured the recurve men's title by beating Spain.

Youth and Sports Minister Osman Askin Bak acknowledged the results of the Turkish athletes competing at the home championship, noting the performances of both individual gold medalists and the compound men's team.

The championship concludes with recurve individual finals.
