Turkish national billiards player Sinem Kokten has received the 2026 European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF) Referee Award for fair play after winning her fourth European championship title in Gandia, Spain.
The Turkish Billiards Federation recognized Kokten for her sportsmanship at the 2026 Predator Pool European Championships, where she won gold in 10-ball and bronze in 8-ball.
The fair play recognition followed another successful appearance at the European championships, where Kokten added to her growing collection of continental titles.
Kokten clinched the women's 10-ball European title after defeating Spain's Silvia Lopez-Fibla 5-4 in the final held in Gandia.
The victory brought her career total to four European championship titles across two pool billiards disciplines, 9-ball and 10-ball, which are distinguished by the number of object balls used in each game.
Her first European title came in 2024, when she won the 9-ball competition in Antalya, Türkiye.
She followed up with two more titles at the 2025 European Championships in the Netherlands, taking gold in both 10-ball and 9-ball.
Alongside her latest 10-ball gold medal, Kokten also finished third in the 8-ball competition at the 2026 championships.
Her conduct throughout the tournament earned her the EPBF Referee Award, a fair play distinction recognizing sportsmanship and exemplary behavior.
The award capped off a championship appearance in which the Turkish athlete secured two podium finishes and added a fourth European title to her career record.
